Stage 2 Intermediate Riding Lessons:
2016 Term 1 :
February 6th, February 20th, March 12th, March 19th, April 2nd 2016. Instruction in Simple changes, flying changes, cavaletti, show jumping, roll backs, haunch turns, bending, barrel racing, flags & bare back riding. 

Stage 2 Intermediate Riding Lessons:
2016 Term 2 :
Four lessons in total for Term 2  = April 30th, May 14th, May 28th, and June 11th. 

All Day Trail Rides 2016: 
February 27th 
August 13th 
November 5th 
For Intermediate Riders - experienced in the walk & trot. 
(Experienced riders are welcome to join these rides and will have the opportunity to canter).

Please note these camps always have long waiting lists. If we are unable to fit your child into a camp, they will move up the waiting list for a camp running at a later date. We apologize for any disappointment. Please know we really try our best to place children into these camps while limiting the numbers for safety and for the enjoyment of every rider at camp.  Thank you

The Equestrian Riding Clinics are a fantastic way to gain hours in the saddle and to work on the ground with horses developing an understanding of Natural Horsemanship skills. 

Participants (from the age of 10 years to adults) will be grooming and tacking up their allocated horses assisted by the Kangaroo Valley Horses riding instructors. The clinics include ground work each day, riding lessons in the arena and sporting paddocks, trail riding throughout the beautiful Budgong countryside of the Kangaroo Valley region. The horses are beautifully trained and willing. The riding instructors are experienced riders who love to encourage and to pass on their skills.

Cost of the Equestrian Clinics = $160.00 per day if attending one clinic.
$150.00 per day if attending two clinics and $140.00 per day if attending three clinics.

FULL MOON NIGHT RIDE!  
(Clear weather & conditions permitting)

Open to experienced riders in the walk, trot & canter. These evenings are an incredible adventure on horse back. Ride the beautiful Kangaroo Valley Horses property and trails as the sun sets and the full moon rises sparkling in the creeks taking your breath away. 
The evening concludes with a warming bonfire. 
Cost = $120.00 per rider on the Kangaroo Valley Horses
Cost = $60.00 per rider for KVH agisters riding their own horses.

All Day Trail Rides 2016:

27th February
13th August
  5th November
All Day Trail Rides for riders with some experience in the walk & trot. These rides are accompanied by fully qualified riding instructors accredited by Horse Safety Australia. The instructors are available for assistance with riding skills throughout the entire day. The All Day trails take the riders to beautiful locations through a variety of landscapes including farmland, creek crossings, bush and rain forest trails. These rides are spectacular adventures not to be missed! Experienced riders are welcome to join the ride and will have the opportunity to canter. 

Riding Lessons: – Group Lessons run most Saturday mornings. Cost $50.00 per rider. Private riding lessons can be arranged to suit your schedule, cost $85.00 per rider.

Trail Rides:  Regular rides run on Saturday afternoons and throughout the school holidays. Trail rides can also be arranged during weekdays. $85.00 per rider for the 2 hour trail rides.

2016 Equestrian Clinics:

Open to adults and children from the age of 10 years old.

Full Moon Night Ride! - weather and conditions permitting
17th September 2016 
(Please note if the weather conditions are not favorable on September 17th the Night Ride will be postponed to October 15th.) 
For Intermediate to Advanced riders confident in the walk, trot and canter.
These rides are simply incredible! Enjoy a late afternoon trail ride as the sun sets and the moon rises into the night sky. Watch the mist rise around the horses and riders as the creeks dance like diamonds in the light of the full moon. 
Arrive at 4.30pm. The ride departs at 5.00pm after safety instruction just in time for the 5.48pm sunset. This is a quiet and scenic ride walking and trotting around the beautiful Kangaroo Valley Horses property "Riverstone." Riders and instructors will be stopping throughout the ride to take in the night skies and often misty conditions. Bookings are essential please wear very warm and comfortable clothing! The evening concludes with a warming bonfire.

All ground work and riding is under instruction with experienced riders and qualified instructors accredited by Horse Safety Australia. BYO lunch and water bottle. Swimmers are optional. This is a great day to experience and learn sporting on horseback and bare back riding!

Horse Care & Horse Safety Clinic - Coming up in 2016.

This Equestrian Clinic is a brilliant opportunity for new horse owners, for people considering horse ownership and for people who just love spending time with horses. The clinic includes ground work instruction how to safely groom & tack a horse. The clinic also covers common horse conditions to watch out for, general horse care instruction and safety and emergency procedures out on the open trail. Participants will be horse riding during the clinic and receiving ground work instruction. Please register your interest in this clinic by phoning

Ground Work – Riding Lesson in the arena – Fun Gymkhana!

All ground work and riding is under instruction with qualified riding instructors accredited by Horse Safety Australia. Riders do not require competition or Gymkhana experience. This day is an opportunity to learn how to compete on horseback. The aim is to gain confidence in the saddle, to learn how to ride in gymkhana events and to improve the riders personal best. Instructors will assist riders to develop skills from beginner to experienced riders. Ground work – Grooming, plaiting and tacking up with your own horse for the day. Riding Lesson in the arena. BYO lunch to enjoy on the “Riverstone” deck at the homestead followed by the Fun Gymkhana!

Cost of the Four Day School Holiday Horse Riding Camps:
Camps include four days of full time care and supervision, all horse hire and riding instruction. All delicious meals and accommodation. $760.00

The cost for children approved (by the KVH Riding Instructors) to bring their own horses to camp is $650.00 including four days of full time care and supervision, all riding instruction, meals and accommodation.

All Day Trail Rides for Beginner to Intermediate Riders 
This is a fantastic ride through beautiful scenery, crossing creeks, riding through picturesque farmland into the bush trails surrounded by the great Kangaroo Valley escarpments! It's an adventure not to be missed! Riders will be accompanied by two experienced instructors accredited by Horse Safety Australia. The All Day Rides are a fantastic way to improve riding skills riding through the open landscape. Cost $160.00 per rider. Please book in advance as these rides fill up quickly.


All Day Equestrian Clinics - Cross Country & Working Equitation
Join us for a great day of riding instruction in Cross Country Jumping & Working Equitation for intermediate to experienced riders. There will be obstacles, gates and jumps to negotiate. Improve your riding skills while enjoying a great day at the Kangaroo Valley Horses beautiful property, "Riverstone"   Cost $160.00 per rider. Bookings are essential.

All Day Trail Ride for Intermediate to Experienced Riders
These rides cover a fair distance. Riders are required to be confident in the walk and trot with some experience in the canter. We will be riding through beautiful scenery negotiating varied terrain enjoying relatively untouched riding trails. For a true adventure in the saddle join us for a great ride!  Cost $160.00 per rider. These rides are very popular, please get in early to secure your position.

Night Riding!
Have you ever ridden by the light of the full moon? It is truly beautiful! Riders will meet at the Kangaroo Valley Horses stables at 5.30pm to tack up and prepare for hopefully a beautiful sunset. Together we ride out at dusk and adjust to the diminishing light. This is a peaceful and breathtaking adventure leaving lasting memories. The creeks sparkle in the moonlight. As the mist rises it simply takes your breath away. For safety reasons riders are required to be confident in the walk and trot. If you are a beginner rider and would like to join these beautiful rides, why not learn to ride by joining riding lessons with our instructors. Night rides finish around 9.00pm. Cost $120.00
